Alleged Puppy Mill Raided Near Canton

Van Zandt County Deputies, constables, and the SPCA of Texas raided an alleged puppy mill near Canton and seized 72 dogs and puppies. One adult dog and 11 puppies were found dead at the property. Authorities say the animals were living in a filthy, feces-filled area with no access to adequate food or water. The SPCA did not say whether criminal charges would be filed.
