Allen Pleads Guilty to 2015 Mt. Vernon Murder

26 year old Christopher Wayne Allen, formerly of New Boston,  has pleaded guilty in Franklin County District Court to murdering  36 year old Wendy Gail Valentine of Mt. Vernon in May of 2015. As a result of a plea bargain, Allen was sentenced to 50 years in prison, and must serve at least 25 years before becoming eligible for parole. Allen also admitted to stabbing an inmate in the Franklin County jail, and making a weapon in a correctional institution, but those charges were not prosecuted.
