Appellate Court Denies New Trial For NE Texas Killer

The Sixth Court of Appeals in Texarkana has denied a request for a new trial for a Northeast Texas man serving a 50-year sentence for the murder of 24-year-old Christopher Guilbeau in Texarkana. Brandon Eric Brown, 25, had waived his right to a jury trial, and his guilt and punishment were determined by Bowie County District Judge John Tidwell.
