DC-41 Landing In Mt Pleasant Friday

We are having a great trip home from picking up this Douglas C-41 from Oakland. We made stops in Hayward, Van Nuys, and Chino CA. We spent last night in Glendale AZ visiting some WWII friends associated with our other DC-3, and now we are in Sweetwater, which is the Wasp Museum home. We will be landing in Mt Pleasant between 11:00 and 12:00 tomorrow. Will keep posts going on our FB page Mid America Flight Museum.

This plane is a very historically significant aircraft being the first DC-3 purchased by the U.S. government in 1938 designated a C-41 VIP transport, which they built only one! Beautifully restored, it was assigned to General Hap Arnold and based in D.C. from 1938-1945.
