Would you want to help your community in times of disaster? The American Red Cross is looking for people who would be willing to help their
community prepare and respond to emergencies. Red Cross volunteers support first responders by being trained in the various tasks necessary to help a
community recover from a disaster. This includes providing assistance to victims of house fires, tornadoes, and floods, as well as setting up
shelters and teaching kids about preparing for disasters. If you might be interested, please come to a volunteer information meeting on Tuesday,
March 20 at 4 p.m. at the Mt Pleasant Public Library (601 N. Madison in Mt Pleasant). This is for residents of Franklin, Morris and Titus counties. For information, go to *http://www.redcross.org/support/volunteer* <http://www.redcross.org/support/volunteer>*, or *contact Alan McMillin (409/289-1255 <(409)%20289-1255>); amcmillin53@hotmail.com
