Former NE Texas Prison Guard Settles Lawsuit

A former guard at the Telford State Prison in New Boston has settled a lawsuit she filed against a supervisor she claimed sexually assaulted her numerous instances. The plaintiff’s legal team said she will receive $250,000, the maximum allowed by the TDCJ. The woman’s supervisor, William D. Forte, was fired by the TDCJ but has never been charged with any crime.
