Firefighters from Hopkins County as well as 6 volunteer departments and Delta County firefighters responded to a house fire on CR3585 in the Hatchetville community. Fire officials say the home was totally destroyed, but nobody was home when it occurred and there were no injuries. The cause of the blaze at this time has been ruled undetermined. THe local Red Cross provided rehab to firefighters and will assist the residents of the house.
