LeTourneau University

The LeTourneau University men’s soccer has added three more players for the 2016 season. The YellowJackets announced the addition of Colton Gehman, Gustavo Martinez, and Gerardo Rebolloso.

Colton Gehman – Goalkeeper – 6-1 – 170 lbs. – Hot Springs, South Dakota – Black Hills Rapids Select

Gehman was a four-year letter winner in high school, twice earning the team’s Top Keeper Award. He made 77 saves as a senior after his 60 save during his junior season. As a freshman, he stepped in to make 112 saves en route to receiving the Rookie Award. As a senior, he was named the team’s co-captain and received the Leadership Award. At LeTourneau, he plans on majoring in mission aviation.

Head Coach Matthew Haesecke on Colton: “Colton is a very athletic goalkeeper that will add depth to an already strong group of keepers. He is the only goalkeeper we decided to bring in for the 2016 class, and he will greatly benefit on the technical side from working full time with our assistant coach, Colt Reichl.”

Gustavo Martinez – 5-8 – 165 lbs. – Princeton, Texas (Princeton HS) – Ayses Soccer Club

Martinez was a three-year letter winner at Princeton High School, where he earned numerous honors. As a senior, he picked up team MVP and the district’s Defensive MVP honors to go along with honorable mention all-state and academic all-district. For his efforts, he was invited to play in the 2015 Texas All-Star Soccer Game. He earned Geometry, Physics and Business Management Student of the Year awards. At LeTourneau, he plans on majoring in criminal justice.

Head Coach Matthew Haesecke on Gustavo: “Gustavo is a hard working player that can play anywhere down the middle of the field. He will see time as a center back or as a center mid. He is very comfortable on the ball and will fit in very nicely on our team.”

Gerardo Rebolloso – Defender – 5-5 – 140 lbs. – Leander, Texas (Rouse HS) – Lonestar ’98B Red

Rebolloso comes to LeTourneau with Lonestar ’98B Red teammate Zachariah Malik. The duo finished fourth in the state. He was a four-year letter winner at Rouse High School, where he was named the team’s defensive and overall MVP as a senior. He received Academic All-District honors, following his senior season. At LeTourneau, he plans on majoring in civil engineering.

Head Coach Matthew Haesecke on Gerardo: “Gerardo is a very technical player and has an excellent work rate. He feels comfortable playing as a winger or as an outside back. He comes to us from an unyielding club team, and he adds depth to an already strong class of recruits.
