Major East Texas Manhunt Underway

A manhunt is underway in Marion County involving multiple law enforcement agencies for a murder suspect considered armed and dangerous.  The fatal shooting occurred near the 1600 block of US 59 about a quarter mile from Jefferson High School. No suspect information was available and further details about the fatal shooting have not been disclosed. Residents of that area are urged to keep their doors and windows locked and to notify authorities if they see anything suspicious.
