An East Texas man has pleaded guilty in Upshur County District Court to breaking a deputy sheriff’s nose during his arrest last spring. As a result of a plea bargain, 40-year-old Brian Leslie Walters of Canton was sentenced to 15 years in prison. An additional five years was added to his sentence because of a prior burglary conviction in Van Zandt County.
