“Hot Topic Tuesday” is scheduled for The Rotary Club of Mt Pleasant this coming Tuesday (Aug 22) at noon at the Mt Pleasant Country Club. The presentation will be by State Representative Cole Hefner. The meeting is open to the public, with lunch provided at no cost. Rep. Heffner is from Mt Pleasant, and his district includes Titus, Camp, Morris, Rains, part of Smith and Wood counties.
A native East Texan, Cole Hefner lives in Mt Pleasant. Before being elected in 2016 to the Texas House of Representatives, Cole served as county commissioner for Upshur County. He is a board member of the East Texas Council Regional Review Committee, a position Governor Rick Perry appointed Hefner. He is active in his community, where he is a member of the Lindale Chamber of Commerce, the Hide-A-Way Lake Kiwanis Club, and a Sunday school teacher at South Jefferson Baptist Church.
