On October 1, 2016 at approximately 7:08pm Officers Responded to a call in reference to a shooting. Once Officers arrived on scene they found one deceased male and one female victim who sustained injuries from gunshot wounds. The female was transported to the hospital for treatment of her injuries.
The Texas Rangers are assisting in this active investigation and do have a suspect. We want to reinforce that this was not a gang related offense nor was it a drive-by shooting. Please keep the family and friends of this young man in your prayers as this has been a tragic event in our small town.”
In a Facebook post, Paul Pewitt high school administrators confirmed that Saturday sophomore Deadrian Webster died of a sustained gunshot wound. First responders were unable to revive Webster.
