NE Texas Inmate Gets Death Sentence

A Telford Prison unit inmate has been sentenced to death the murder of a correctional officer who was escorting him to his cell. Billy Joel Tracy, 39, had been convicted in New Boston of beating to death Timothy Davison of Simms. Tracy had been serving two life sentences out of Rockwall County for robbery and aggravated assault when the murder was committed.
