One Dead, One Jailed In Lamar County Home Invasion

Lamar County authorities have identified the suspect who was killed and the one who was jailed after a home invasion robbery on CR44450 in the northeast part of the county at about 2am Friday morning. Investigators say one of the suspects was armed. The homeowner happened to be awake when the break-in occurred and shot 21-year-old Idris Darrell Wooten of Wolfe City. He tried to flee after he was shot but was found dead in the driveway. The other suspect, 35 year old Reginald Alwain Lane,  also fled the scene, but was arrested a short time later on FM 195. The investigation is continuing.
