Santa Visits Head Start Students

 

Lamar County Head Start Director Eva Williams led students and staff in a Christmas Sing-along for Santa Claus (a/k/a Robert High) and many special guests. Santa read to the students and reminded them to be good during the holidays.

Paris High School varsity girls basketball team delivers donations.

The Paris High School varsity girls basketball team collected donations for the children at the Truman W. Smith Children’s Care Center in Gladewater. Coach Deanne Dial takes the team there each year in remembrance of her special needs nephew who passed away in 2013. Coach Dial said, “We got the opportunity to visit, deliver donations, and pray with the children at the center. It was truly a blessing for our team.”

 

Paris ISD Employees Receive GROWL Award

Paris ISD principals named employees and students for the November GROWL Award “Getting Results from Outstanding Wildcat Leaders” Customer Service Award – “S – Service.” Winners are Cynthia Twitty at Head Start, Denise Williams at Givens, Melanie Meredith at Justiss, Cindy Crawford at Aikin, Jill Nutt at Crockett, Rod Martin at Paris Junior High, Pat Conrad at Paris High School, and Ricky Davis at Travis High School of Choice.

Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum Althea Dixon and Superintendent Paul Jones conducted a drawing for grand prizes sponsored by AHI Facility Services. Cynthia Twitty and Rod Martin received gift certificates. Remaining winners received $15 gift certificates from Applebee’s.

 

 

Justiss Choir Annual Day of Christmas Caroling

Justiss Elementary School’s choir had a wonderful time on their annual day of caroling. They visited five assisted living homes and rehabilitation centers to bring cheer to the residents this holiday season. The students photographed with residents of Stillhouse Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. Lindsay McCarter directs the choir.

Justiss Jammers get their Christmas jam on

The Justiss Jammers performed for family, friends, and the student body during their annual Christmas Concert. The Jammers are made up of 4th graders and are directed by Justiss teacher Amanda Little.

 

Crockett 5th grader Kaylon Perkins reads to Justiss second graders in Amy Hooten’s class.

Justiss students enjoy a visit from Crockett students for story time.

Over 50 Crockett students visited Justiss and read their favorite books with kindergarten and second-grade students. The students read and discuss their books, with the younger students.
