Paris Man Arrested for Delivering Controlled Substance

Paris Police stopped a vehicle in the 700 block of E. Price St. after the vehicle was observed swerving and failing to give a signal of intent to turn at several intersections. The driver, 37 year old Deirk John Clark, of Paris, was found to have an outstanding parole warrant. Clark was found to be in possession of several small baggies of a crystal like substance that tested positive for methamphetamine and two marijuana cigarettes. A female passenger was found to be in possession of two syringes. Clark was charged with manufacturing or delivering a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. The passenger was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Clark was later transferred to the Lamar County Jail.
