Paris PD Report for Tuesday

Paris Police responded to the 700 block of NE 3rd in regards to a security check and determined that 35 year old Rodrick  Walters  was wanted on an outstanding warrant.   He was charged on the warrant with  manufacturing or delivering of a controlled substance.

Paris Police responded to a disturbance in the 600 block of NE 16th  and were told by one of the alleged victims that he had been stabbed by another man. The alleged suspect in this part of the disturbance denied that a knife had been involved and two other witnesses said nothing about a knife. The incident allegedly began when the alleged stabbing victim began hitting a woman and the alleged suspect stepped in to defend her.   The two men then began fighting. The investigation is continuing.

Paris Police are investigating a rash of burglaries over the holiday weekend. Someone stole a purse from a woman that was sleeping at an apartment in the 300 block of Stone Ave.  Someone broke into a home in the 500 block of SE 25 and stole multiple items, including two televisions worth about $1100. Someone stole a window air conditioner unit and some stereo speakers from a home in the 500 block of NW 9th. In the 1000 block of SE 17th ,thieves  stole Xbox wireless controllers and various other items.
