Paris Police Report For Wednesday (Aug 23)

Tuesday morning Paris Police arrested Blake Lindsey, 32, and Katie Westbrook, 27, on outstanding warrants for abandon or endangering a child in Lamar County. Officers discovered the warrants after a traffic stop on E. Sherman Street.

Tuesday afternoon officers worked a robbery on Clarksville after two males attempted to rob the complainant. The victim was able to maintain control of the wallet, and the two fled the scene. Officers located the possible suspects and arrested James Phillips. 19, and a juvenile.

Tuesday evening, Paris Police worked a disturbance on Dickson Ave. A known suspect had allegedly pointed a firearm at the complainant while threatening them. The incident reportedly occurred after an altercation between the two the previous day.

Just before 10:00 pm, officers responded to the 1900 block of Pine Bluff in regards to a disturbance. A confrontation occurred between two men inside a moving vehicle. One of the males felt threatened as the other allegedly displayed a handgun. The victim alleged that he jumped from the car and ran as the suspect fired a single shot in his direction. The victim was not injured.

Paris Police responded to 89 calls for service and arrested eight people over the past 24 hours ending at 6:00 am Wednesday (Aug 23).
