Rangers Fall Again Plus Nine Days to Cowboys Camp

EP-307199870

Last night the Texas Rangers fall to the LA Angels 9-5. Texas was off to a rip roaring start that included back to back blasts from Roogie Odor and Adrian Beltre. However, the pitching wouldn’t hold up as Ranger starter AJ Griffin was tagged for five runs over five innings, while reliever Keone Kela gave up the remaining four runs in just one inning. Texas falls to 55-39 on the season, but remain in first place in the AL West by 4.5 games over the Astros. The Rangers and Angels are back at again tonight on kplt 1490am and 96.3fm. Kyle Lohse is scheduled to start against Tim Lincecum. First pitch is set for 9:05.

In the NFL, former Houston Texans running back, Arian Foster, has found a new home. Yesterday afternoon it was reported that Foster had signed a one year deal to join the Miami Dolphins. Coincidently, Miami’s former starting running back, Lamar Miller, recently signed with the Texans. Foster’s deal with the Dolphins is worth $1.5 million dollars with incentives to earn as much as $3.5 million.

The countdown to Dallas Cowboys training camp continues. In nine days, the Cowboys will arrive in Oxnard, California. On July 30th camp begins with plenty of headlines. How well does Zeke Elliott fit into the offense? Who will be the surprise of camp? Can the Cowboys withstand the pre-season injury bug? And of course, how healthy are Dez, Romo and Orlando Scandrick after struggling with injuries a season ago?

And Chris Froome continues to lead The Tour De France as the riders enter stage 16 in the Alps.
