Smith Announces Retirement From Mt Pleasant EDC

After 15 years as Executive Director of the Mt Pleasant Economic Development Corporation, Charlie Smith has announced his plans to retire, effective January 17. Davis had a very successful tenure with the Mt Pleasant EDC and was responsible for economic and job growth for the city and the county. He is also credited with the creation of a business park and many other accomplishments in the city and the county.
