Local Frozen Yogurt Shop Hosts Tornado Relief Fundraiser
Canton-based sweetFrog Hosting Full-Day Benefit Event on Thursday (May 18) is donating 50% of Store Sales to Van Zandt Tornado Relief Fund.
What: In response to the real devastation caused by a series of local tornadoes on April 29, Canton-based sweetFrog Frozen Yogurt owner Joe Zoubi is hosting an all-day benefit event on Thursday (May 18), open to close from 11:00 am until 9:00 pm. Zoubi and his staff are committed to raising thousands of dollars for the Van Zandt Tornado Relief Fund. First State Bank of Ben Wheeler has set up a disaster relief fund. Fifty percent of all local May 18 sales is donated. Zoubi’s team is giving 25% of in-store sales, and sweetFrog’s corporate office is matching that amount to tornado victims/survivors.
