Wood County Sentences Habitual Criminal

A Wood County jury has convicted an East Texas man of leading Wood and Franklin County deputies and Winnsboro Police Officers on a high-speed chase and crashing into three patrol vehicles. William Eric Potter was finally captured in a wooded area near New Boston. The jury found that Potter was a habitual criminal and sentenced him to 50 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
