$1 Billion Additional Likely For Texas State Parks

The Texas House gave preliminary approval to two bills Monday. With voter approval, the bills would create a Centennial Parks Conservation Fund to invest up to $1 billion to buy more land for the state parks system. The measure and resolution have already received an okay from the Senate and need a final vote in the House before heading to the governor’s desk for final approval. The governor has already called for an increased budget for state parks.
