Hopkins County Jail
Quick work by an alert Hopkins County deputy resulted in the arrest of a man who allegedly stole a trailer and ramp from Atwoods in Sulphur Springs. Shortly after receiving a call about the theft, the deputy found the trailer on Beckham Street. 39 year old Reed Hill Wertz of Pittsburg admitted to taking the trailer and was arrested. Because of Wertz’s prior criminal history, the charge was enhanced to a State Jail Felony.
