The Region 8 Education Service Center has announced the winners of the Regional Science Fair. With the rise in COVID numbers, they conducted the fair virtually. Students submitted videos for judging, and they announced winners on February 8.
Two students from Aaron Parker Elementary placed in the top three in their categories with their projects.
Adam Joudeh (pictured right) placed third in the Chemical/Physical category out of 110 projects. Kinley Crawford placed first in the Behavioral/Biological category out of 66 projects.
Sponsor and science teacher Britany Creamer said, “Doing it virtually was a huge headache because of many issues, but we were glad to be able to do it, and I was so excited for their success. It was all worth it in the end!”
