
The North Lamar High School Symphonic and Concert bands competed in the UIL Concert and Sight-Reading Contest on Wednesday, April 6 and Thursday April 7. Both bands received 1st Division Ratings from all judges in both the Concert and Sight-Reading earning each group the UIL Sweepstakes Award.
On April 9 both bands competed at the Wylie East Peak Music Festival, once again receiving 1st Division Ratings from all judges with the Symphonic Band being named Outstanding High School Band of the contest. Directors are Jason Smith, Roderick Boyce and Randy Jones.
