The 41st Annual Crape Myrtle Queen coronation is Friday Night at Culbertson Fountain in Downtown Paris at 7:00 pm. Crystal Henry, Paris High School Althea Garden Club sponsor, organized the event with the help of senior members Laney Madding, Josie Cade and Katy Hall.
Dr. Bert Strom will serve as master of ceremonies and introduce the court of princesses. They are:
Riley Bills, 16, a sophomore, daughter of Misty Halcomb and Brad Bills.
Skylar Coursey, 16, a sophomore, daughter of Kelli and Jeff Coursey.
Ansley Downs, 18, a junior, daughter of Annie Downs and Daniel Downs.
Emily Eddlemon, 16, a sophomore, daughter of Cindy Slaton and Tyler Eddlemon.
Nichole Hawkes, 18, a junior, daughter of Dee and Darrell Hawkes.
Sophia Johnson, 16, a sophomore, daughter of Cari and Lance Johnson.
Erika Palomares, 18, a junior, daughter of Juventina and Carmelo Palomares.
Alyssa Tacuyan, 17, a junior, daughter of Eva and Jerry Tacuyan.
Sydney Walter, 16, a sophomore, daughter of Regina and Stephen Walter.
Tori Weatherford, 16, a sophomore, daughter of Holly and Pat Weatherford.
Grace Woodby, 16, a sophomore, daughter of Connie and Ken Woodby.
Laney Madding, a senior at PHS and the 2017-2018 queen, will crown the new queen. Laney is the daughter of Terri Leigh and Stephen Walker and the late Brad Madding.
Event attendees will enjoy a solo by Rowan Burns, a sophomore at Paris High School. Refreshments will follow after the ceremony. Everyone is invited to attend this Royal moment.
