Hopkins County Deputies arrested a Honduran National now living in San Antonio at the 140-mile marker of I-30 after a traffic stop for a defective taillight. The driver 51-year-old Manuel Antonio Ardon showed extreme nervousness, and a search yielded a large amount of cash. Further investigation led to the discovery of more cash, and they arrested Ardon for Money Laundering of more than $2,500 but less than $30,000.

Hopkins County Deputies stopped a vehicle for coasting through a stop sign at Houston and Jackson Streets in Sulphur Springs. The deputy detected the odor of marijuana, and the 51-year-old female driver admitted to having a blunt in her vehicle. Further investigation led to the discovery of a bottle of meth in her purse, a glass full of alcohol on the console, and a quantity of marijuana. Deputies arrested Alexander Garza on warrants for the Manufacture and Delivery of a Controlled Substance in a Drug-Free Zone and Possession of a Controlled Substance. He was also charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, an Addition Possession of Narcotics in a Drug-Free Zone, and a misdemeanor. Mugshot Not Available
