Mt Pleasant CVS Employee Prevents Scam

Titus County deputies are reporting another attempted scam of a resident by a caller claiming to be with the IRS. The caller demanded money from the intended victim and threatened the victim with immediate arrest if the demands were not met. Deputies say an alert clerk at the CVS in Mt. Pleasant warned the person not to follow through with the transaction and to instead contact authorities. This saved the intended victim an estimated $1500.
