Plea Deadline For New Boston Man

Bowie County’s court issued a plea deadline of October 7 for a Bowie County man charged with sexual assault crimes against four children. Judge John Tidwell of the 202nd District Court issued the plea date for Cody Blake Barnes, 31, of New Boston, at a Monday morning hearing at the Bi-State Justice Building. They have charged Barnes with sexually assaulting three children, and he was indicted in August on charges of aggravated sexual assault of a child, two counts of indecency with a child by sexual contact, and injury to a child, according to court records.
