4th of July Weekend Festivities Around Paris

Cruise Night  On The Plaza  Friday July 1st from 5-10pm on the Plaza Antique and Classic Car Owners on the Plaza showing off their cars. Enjoy viewing and visiting with the owners.

July 4th Celebrate America Parade July 2nd at 10:00 AM – It’s the 45th Annual 45h of July Celebrate America Parade. Parade Route. starting behind the Lamar County Courthouse, proceeding South on SW 1st to Clarksville St, turning left on Clarksville Street proceeding to 17th SE Street, left on 17th SE to Lamar Avenue returning to Main Street to the Lamar County Courthouse.

Dixie Youth State Regional Baseball Tournament July 2nd – July 4th at Woodall Field

Avery Tomato Festival will be Saturday July 2nd. Food, Fun and Games and an Avery Idol Contest. 

The Paris Annual July 4th Fireworks Sunday July 3rd beginning at 8pm. Including live music from the Paris Municipal Band. Food, Family fun and FIREWORKS. Noyse Stadium, on the PJC campus. Come enjoy all the activities.

Roxton invites you out for their 4th of July celebration. It starts with a parade at 10am. Lineup at 9am and all are welcome. 1st place for best decorated entry. Then a lunch at 11am at Roxton Grocery Cafe. At 4:30 there will be games including egg toss, turtle race and balloon toss. At 6pm a homemade ice cream fundraiser for Roxton Food Pantry in the Community Center. Only $1 a cup. Then at dark:30 the fireworks show followed by a street dance with music from Jerimy Phifer and band with a special guest!

And a reminder:

The City of Paris Sanitation Department will NOT pick up trash on Monday, July 4th in observance of Independence Day.  We will resume our routine pick-up schedule on Tuesday, July 5th.  As a reminder for those residents on the Monday and Thursday route, please have trash out by 7:30am on Thursday, since we run additional trash trucks to pick up holiday trash.

The Compost Site will be CLOSED on Saturday, July 2nd.
