Mt Pleasant Man Jailed In Hopkins County

A Mt Pleasant man was arrested by Hopkins County Deputies after he allegedly refused to leave the property of the Hagerman Reserve on FM 71. John David Wright, 51, appeared to be intoxicated, and a search of his vehicle turned up suspected methamphetamine and a glass pipe. He was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Public Intoxication. His bond was set at $10,000.
