ET Man Faces Multiple Charges After Police Chase

An East Texas man who led police on a high-speed chase with a child and a passenger in his vehicle has been indicted by a Smith County grand jury. Officials charged 30-year-old Cody Johnson, of Tyler, with abandoning/endangering a child, possession of a controlled substance and evading arrest. He was arrested by Whitehouse Police after he ran out of gas during the pursuit.
