Abbott Declares Disasters Ahead of Marco

Gov. Greg Abbott has declared a state of disaster for 23 Texas counties ahead of Tropical Storm Marco, which should hit near the Texas Gulf Coast early this week. The National Weather Service classified Marco as a Category 1 hurricane Sunday afternoon for the 23 counties, including all 22 coastal surge counties identified by the National Weather Service and Bexar County. Bexar is a staging and sheltering county. Laura is not far behind with a double whammy.
