Gov. Greg Abbott announced Wednesday that the state has started sending charter buses of migrants from the Texas border to Chicago, joining Washington D.C. and New York City as drop-off points. Since Abbott announced Texas’ plan in April, 8,000 to 9,000 migrants have been sent out of state, costing about $12 million.
