Abilene Police Officer Shot

Abilene Police are looking for James Wesley Key, 49, who they suspect is the shooter of an Abilene Police Officer. According to police, James Wesley Key was stopped for a traffic stop around 9:30 last night when he shot the officer. Police say Key evaded on foot. They brought in a DPS helicopter to aid in the search. Police say the officer was transported to the hospital and released.
