AG Paxton Sues San Antonio Hotel

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has sued La Quinta San Antonio Brook City Base’s owner for alleged price gouging during last month’s storm that left millions of Texans without power. The lawsuit seeks up to $250,000 in damages for each violation of the state law against deceptive trade practices. A man who answered a phone number listed the hotel said it raised prices as the number of available rooms declined, which he said is a standard practice in the hotel business.
