A growing number of Republicans want to update the nation’s marijuana laws. The latest is Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller, who says that the government should get out of the way regarding medicinal use. He says this is all about freedom. He compared the state’s current drug laws to the prohibition of alcohol in the 1920s. And he says every Texan with a medical need should have access to marijuana, which he called a medicine.
