Texas A&M epidemiologists say they are frustrated with the state health department’s dropping the ball on testing and reporting of coronavirus cases. Their analysis revealed myriad flaws and contradictions in the state’s test data collection system. Most counties are in fact, increasing their testing. But there are more than half a million tests that are pending assignment at the state health department, because they are not yet assigned to their proper county.
