A&M-Texarkana Presents Lecture On Patient Care

A&M-Texarkana’s PLACE to present a lecture “The New World Order: The Art and Science of Patient Care.”

TEXARKANA, Texas – Michael Manley, Director of Clinical Integration and Development at the University of Arkansas for Medical Science (UAMS), will present his lecture “The New World Order: The Art and Science of Patient Care.” It is the Program for Learning and Community Engagement (PLACE) at Texas A&M University-Texarkana, 7101 University Avenue, Texarkana, TX.

The lecture will take place in UC 217 from 12:00-1:30 pm on Thursday (Mar 8). It is free and open to the public.

Manley helps formulate, develop and implement strategies and policies to extend UAMS innovations in patient care to the entire state, and leads in the development of new ways to integrate technology into patient care. He also directs outreach and provider relations activities and serves as a communicator of strategies and initiatives to provider partners and healthcare communities.

Manley received his master’s degree in nursing administration from the UAMS Graduate School in 2009 and bachelor’s degree in nursing from the UAMS College of Nursing in 1990.

PLACE is a faculty-led program designed to create a community of learners comprising A&M-Texarkana students, faculty, staff and the community at large. PLACE chooses an annual theme around which to organize a lecture series and other activities that provide focal points for learning and discussion. This year’s theme is “science and technology.”
