UPDATE Another Fatal East Texas Crash Monday

A fatal crash involving two vehicles occurred at approximately 3:00 pm in the vicinity of US-259 and Tryon Rd. in Gregg County.  Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2011 Toyota Camry was westbound on Tryon Rd. attempting to cross US-259 when it traveled into the path of a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe that was traveling northbound on US-259. The driver of the Toyota Camry has been identified as Janice Statman, 81 years-old of Longview.  Statman was pronounced dead at the scene by JP B.H. Jameson, her body was taken to East Texas Funeral Home in Longview. Next of kin has been notified.  The driver of the Chevrolet Tahoe has been identified as Jennifer Garcia, 42 years-old of Longview.  She was taken to Good Shepard in stable condition.  A passenger in the Tahoe was identified as Noe Garcia, 43 years-old of Longview.  He was also taken to Good Shepard in Longview in stable condition.
