Appeals Court Upholds Former Pastor’s Sentence

The Sixth Court of Appeals in Texarkana has upheld the multiple convictions and life sentences received by a former pastor on child sex charges. Fifty-eight-year-old  Logan Wesley III, the former pastor of  Trinity Temple Church of God in Christ in Texarkana, Arkansas, was found guilty in Bowie County of sexually abusing three women, all in their 30s at trial, who testified they were children when the abuse began. The jury ordered five life sentences plus 220 years. It was the harshest sentence ever handed down in Bowie County.
