Appellate Court Halts Thursday Execution

The Texas Court of Criminal Appeals has granted a stay of Thursday’s scheduled execution of a North Texas death row inmate. Mark Robertson was condemned for murdering an 81-year-old woman at her home in Dallas nearly 30 years ago. Robertson was also sentenced to life in prison for murdering the woman’s 19-year-old grandson and a convenience store clerk 10 days before that.
