A Texas appellate court has upheld the convictions in two unrelated East Texas murders. Smith County convicted 31-year-old Joshua Adam Scales of fatally shooting 30-year-old Jordan Ladue and sentenced him to 25 years in prison. Previously, 32-year-old Jared Eugene Wilson had been sentenced to life in prison for the murder of Thomas Glen Wilson at a Tyler hotel.
