Area Gets Three New Bridges

TxDOT

PARIS – Texas Department of Transportation officials today announced that contractor 3LW Management, Hutto, Texas, will soon begin replacing three bridges in Northeast Texas.

The contractor gets 190 working days, weather permitting, to complete this project in Delta, Lamar and Red River Counties at an estimated cost of more than $1.5 million. TxDOT officials said the contractor anticipates setting alert signs for this project on Friday (April 15) and beginning work on Monday (April 18).

The bridges are at Delta County Road 4620 at Lake Creek in Delta County; Market Street at Cane Creek in Roxton, Texas, in Lamar County; and Pecan Street at Delaware Creek in Clarksville, Texas, in Red River County. The contractor will begin work in Lamar County, finish work there, and then move to the Delta and Red River County sites in succession as each bridge is completed.

TxDOT officials said the bridges and affected roads will be closed at each location while the work is underway. Detours marked with signs will guide motorists around each construction site. The target date for completion of this project is December 2016.
