Wood County Deputies along with Quitman Police Officers responded to a reported home invasion/aggravated robbery located just out in the county on CR #3204.   Upon arrival, deputies learned that a 16 year old male juvenile, who was home alone, had been assaulted and stabbed.  The victim reported that three unknown suspects, two black males and one Hispanic male had broken into his house.  The victim stated that the suspects came into his room brandishing a pistol.  The suspects then began taking property.  The male juvenile victim at one point fought back and suffered stab wounds.  The suspects departed the residence taking two televisions, a computer, and a rifle.

Sheriff’s Office investigators arrived on scene and began processing for evidence.  The Investigators were able to quickly establish leads in the case.

The next day on Wednesday, May 25th, the investigators arrested Lawrence “Flow” Herron.  Investigators were able to identify Mr. Herron as the driver of the car which had been involved in the home invasion and robbery.  Mr. Herron was booked into the Wood County Jail on “felon in possession of a firearm” as well as “aggravated robbery and organized criminal activity”.  Investigators also located and recovered most of the stolen property at Mr. Herron’s residence in the city of Mineola.

That same day on, May 25th,  the investigators arrested another participant, a Hispanic male juvenile, in the Mineola area. The juvenile was taken to the Sheriff’s Office and then transported to the juvenile detention center with a charge of “aggravated robbery” and will face additional charges of “organized criminal activity”.

The Sheriff also stated that his investigators have identified two additional suspects and warrants have been issued for their involvement.  The names of those individuals will be released upon apprehension.  The victim in the case was treated and released from the hospital.
