CO-MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK: Payton Tuttle, Sr., Belhaven
Belhaven senior Payton Tuttle (Richland, Miss.) fired a -6 69-73-68=210 to placed seventh at the Derrall Foreman Invitational in Cleveland, Miss. Tuttle was the highest non-NCAA Division II finisher.
CO-MEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK: Kaleb Brown, Jr., Howard Payne
Howard Payne junior Kaleb Brown (Sulphur Bluff, Texas) won the Tiger Fall Classic in Gladewater, Texas, with a +3 74-73=147, giving him his first collegiate win. He led the par 4 scoring (+3), par 5 scoring (-2), and eight birdies.
WOMEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK: Annie Hasselbach, Jr., Mary Hardin-Baylor
Mary Hardin-Baylor junior Annie Hasselbach (Rockdale, Texas) earned medalist honors at the Tiger Fall Classic in Gladewater, Texas, shooting a +11 80-75=155. Her second-round 75 was the lowest score of the tournament. Hasselbach’s play helped the Cru win their third consecutive team victory.
OTHER TOP PERFORMANCES
MEN
East Texas Baptist junior Hank Crain (Prescott, Ark.) and junior Colby Dupuis (Ville Platte, La.) were the runners-up at the Tiger Fall Classic with a +4. Crain shot a 75-73=148, and Dupuis had a 73-75=148.
Mary Hardin-Baylor sophomore Kaden Treybig (Bellville, Texas) is also tied for second with a +4 73-75 at the Tiger Fall Classic.
WOMEN
East Texas Baptist junior Emily Watson (Canton, Texas) tied for second at the Tiger Fall Classic with a +12 78-78=156.
