ATCOG – Governmental Affairs

 

 

We are ready to go for another year in governmental affairs. We had a successful year in 2017 with our trip to Austin as one voice for Northeast Texas. Let’s not let the momentum falter. On Wednesday (Jun 6), we are holding a regional government meeting to discuss workforce.

Workforce readiness and preparation are the current buzzwords and significant point of discussion, not only for new business recruitment but also business retention and expansion. Our luncheon speaker will be TWC Commissioner Julian Alvarez, with additional speakers including Texas State Senator Bryan Hughes. The summit will be held at the Mt. Pleasant Civic Center in Mt Pleasant, Texas. Registration is $23.00 per person, which includes lunch. Please contact [email protected] for ticket information. All proceeds will go offset the cost of our “County Days” and legislative visits to the Texas Capital in February 2019.
