Attempted Red River County Scam

A possible scam victim reported that someone named David Washington called claiming to be with Publishers Clearing House. He offered the victim $980,000.00, but he needed to meet at Clarksville’s Western Union with $395.00 before 9:30 this morning. The suspect said he would be driving a white van with PCH on the side. The scam victim called Red River County Sheriff’s Office and the radio station to give everyone a heads up.
