Audit Shows About $350,000 Embezzled From Grant-Goodland School District

KXII-TV in Sherman is reporting that an audit shows some Grant-Goodland school administrators may have embezzled about $350,000 from the district. The audit also lists dozens of checks in 2014 and 2015 as suspicious, and at least one was mailed to a business with an address in an empty building. Superintendent Buck Hammers and Deputy Treasurer Pam Keeling were suspended last week, and Keeling committed suicide the next day.
